The horrific damage to Florida is further evidence that humankind has unleashed nightmares for many people and communities - nightmares that will repeat every year in one way or another.
Helene and Milton have unleashed a fury that is all our fault. Climate change deniers will keep denying, but those tragically affected by flooding, storm surges, and tornadoes know the reality of their and our situation.
We keep munching those apples Adam and Eve couldn't refuse. We keep messing it up.
