Hosea today condemns the people for building altars and pillars. We might not immediately recognize what he’s talking about, but altars and pillars were part of a Pagan culture – that they were worshiping false gods. He concludes by telling people “It is time to seek the Lord.”
We may not build altars and pillars, but we may have false gods in our lives that determine our attention span or attention to giving. Maybe we need to hear Hosea speaking to us this morning, “It is time to seek the Lord.”
