It’s true that the Feast of Easter is about the Resurrection of the Lord, but there is another dimension to the celebration. It’s the promise that you and I have received that we too will arise and have everlasting life. That’s the declaration that Jesus makes in the Gospel of John today, “The will of the Father is that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.”
What a gift, what a promise.
