Monkey Butt

A prince and many of his archers went out to hunt monkeys.  They became separated in the woods, and the prince was by himself when he saw a monkey high in a tree.

The prince took an arrow from his quiver, put it in his bow, aimed it carefully at the monkey, and let it fly.

The monkey’s ears perked up when he heard the twang of the bow.  He turned around and as the arrow sped toward him, the monkey calmly stepped to one side and grabbed it in midair.

The prince was astounded.  He applauded the monkey.

The prince took another arrow from his quiver, put it in his bow, aimed it carefully at the monkey, and let it fly.

The monkey stepped to the other side and caught the arrow in his other hand.

The prince was astounded.  He applauded the monkey again.

Then the monkey put both arrows in one of his hands, turned around, wriggled his rear end, and laughed mockingly, “Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na!"

The prince then called up all his archers, and they riddled the monkey with arrows.

Moral:  Never flaunt our skills or taunt those who aren’t as fortunate.  Never put down anyone!   Lent is especially not the time to wriggle our butts.
