Climbing Our Mountains

On this mountain the LORD of hosts will provide for all peoples a feast of rich food and choice wines, juicy, rich food and pure, choice wines. On this mountain he will destroy the veil that veils all peoples – the web that is woven over all nations. He will destroy death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will remove from the whole earth; for the Lord has spoken.

On that day it will be said: “Behold our God, to whom we looked to save us! This is the LORD for whom we looked; let us rejoice and be glad that he has saved us! For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain. (Isaiah 25:6-10)

“He will destroy death forever” is to cancel out the sentence of death given in Genesis 3:19 where it says: “By the sweat of your brow, you shall eat bread, until you return to the ground from which you were taken. For you are dust and to dust you shall return.”

Let’s find that mountain this Advent season! There is a lot to be gained.  It’s the mountain we must climb where God will destroy the veil of deceit that veils us and the web of lies that is woven over us in which we are stuck.

In actuality, we need not find and climb that mountain.  It is within us all.  It is the height we must scale to overcome that which we set before ourselves as obstacles for reaching God and salvation. We save ourselves from deceit and lies when we stop laying in the dustbin of pride and self-destructive behaviors, such as through addictions of all sorts and following media pied pipers, fools, and those only concerned about their power and money.
