Today Christopher Hughes is ordained a transitional deacon on his way to become a priest. We thank him for his dedication and service. The name "Christopher" means Christ-Bearer, and so he will have that role and responsibility.
I and other deacons who are "Permanent" will welcome him at the Fall River Cathedral at an 11:00 AM ceremony.
